क्रिसमस को सालभर के मुख्य त्योहारों में से एक माना जाता है। इस त्यौहार को पूरे विश्व में सभी धर्मों के लोगो द्वारा सामान्यतः साल के अंत में २५ दिसंबर को मनाया जाता है ।मुख्य रूप से यह त्यौहार ईसाई धर्म के लोगों द्वारा यीशू मसीह के जन्म को याद करने हेतु मनाया जाता है ।
क्रिसमस को मनाने के लिए परिवार के सारे लोग एकत्रित होते हैं । परिवार के लोग इस त्यौहार पर जश्न और पार्टी करते हैं ।
क्रिसमस का त्यौहार मुख्य त्योहार जैसे ईद ,दिवाली की तरह बड़े हर्षो उल्लास के साथ मनाया जाता है । विगत कुछ वर्षो से कोरोना महामारी ने अपना रूप बदल बदल कर सबको परेशान कर रखा है ।
क्रिसमस का त्यौहार इस बार महामारी के बीच आशा की नयी किरण , उम्मीद और आनंद लेकर आएगा ।

क्रिसमस का त्यौहार बहुत आनंदायक होता है जो क्रिसमस के पूर्व संध्या से शुरू होकर अगले १२ दिनों तक चलता रहता है । इसमें १२ दिन में हर दिन अलग अलग कारणों के लिए परिचलित है ।
ईसा मसीह का जन्म क्रिसमस के लिए अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण है क्योंकि उनका मानना था कि भगवान ने अपने पुत्र को दुनिया के लोगों को उनके पापों से छुड़ाने के लिए एक बलिदान के रूप में पृथ्वी पर भेजा था ।
ईसा मसीह को पृथ्वी पर लोगों का दुःख दूर करने के लिए पैदा किया था ऐसा ईसाई धर्म के लोगों का मानना है । यह हर वर्ष साल के अंत में ईसाई धर्म के साथ साथ विश्व के अन्य धर्मों द्वारा बड़े उत्साह से मनाया जाता है ।
